Are you an experienced Employee Relations specialist who thrives in fast-paced, high-volume environments? A leading Australian retailer is seeking a Senior People & Culture Advisor to join their Advisory Services team, supporting leaders across a large national store and corporate network.
This is a fantastic opportunity to deepen your ER expertise within a collaborative, well-structured, and highly regarded People & Capability function with a pathway into Business Partnering.
About the Role
Sitting within the Tier 2 Advisory Centre, you’ll act as a subject matter expert on complex people matters escalated from across the business. You’ll provide practical, commercial guidance to people leaders and HR Business Partners, navigating a wide range of ER issues including:
Working closely with the Head of Advisory Services and team leaders, you’ll also support the development of Tier 1 and Tier 2 Advisors, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and participate in people projects across the wider P&C function.

- Fair Work and Human Rights matters
- Misconduct, performance, grievances and investigations
- Interpreting industrial instruments
- Managing concurrent case loads of 25–30 matters
Working closely with the Head of Advisory Services and team leaders, you’ll also support the development of Tier 1 and Tier 2 Advisors, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and participate in people projects across the wider P&C function.
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone who can confidently make decisions, manage competing priorities, and build trusted relationships quickly in a high-volume environment. You will have:
- Proven HR advisory experience across complex ER/IR matters
- Experience working in a large, complex organisation where you’ve navigated multiple stakeholders and high-volume demands.
- Strong corporate office exposure within HR or People & Culture
- Exceptional communication, influencing and problem-solving skills
- A customer-centric mindset with resilience and a calm, pragmatic approach
- Confidence navigating modern awards, policies and industrial frameworks
- Work in a well-established, supportive ER structure
