    A major Healthcare organisation is seeking an experienced Director of Health, Safety & Wellbeing to lead enterprise safety strategy across a highly complex and high-impact operating environment.
    This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for shaping the organisation’s safety culture, strengthening governance and ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of a large and diverse workforce.
    Working closely with the Executive Leadership Team and Board, you will lead the development and delivery of a contemporary health and safety strategy across a complex, multi-site healthcare environment.

    The Opportunity
    Reporting to the Executive Director People & Culture and leading a sizeable team, the Director of Health, Safety & Wellbeing will lead the organisation’s safety, emergency management and wellbeing functions.
    This role offers the opportunity to:
    • Lead safety strategy for a large and complex healthcare environment
    • Influence safety culture at Executive and Board level
    • Shape the organisation’s approach to psychosocial safety and workforce wellbeing
    • Drive enterprise improvement in WorkCover performance and safety risk management
    • Lead strategic responses to complex safety issues including occupational violence and aggression, manual handling and fatigue risk
    • Engage effectively with unions, regulators and key external stakeholders
      
    About You
    You are a credible and influential safety leader who thrives in complex, high-stakes environments.
    You bring a strong balance of technical expertise, strategic thinking and leadership capability, with the ability to drive cultural change and influence at senior levels.
    You will bring:
    • Extensive leadership experience in health & safety within large, complex organisations
    • Strong understanding of OHS legislation, WorkCover and psychosocial risk
    • Proven ability to influence executive leaders and boards
    • Experience managing safety in highly regulated and unionised environments
    • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and high emotional intelligence
    • The ability to lead through complex or sensitive incidents with professionalism and resilience
    Experience in healthcare is beneficial but not essential. Candidates from other complex industries such as government, education, transport, infrastructure, manufacturing or utilities are encouraged to apply.
