About the Role:
The Head of Resourcing is the strategic and operational leader of the Resourcing function, accountable for enabling the organisation to attract, engage and secure the best talent to support the delivery of high-quality early childhood education and care. Leading a team of 11 Resourcing Advisors plus contractors, this role defines and drives the resourcing strategy, ensuring alignment with workforce plans, regulatory requirements and organisational growth objectives.
The role is responsible for embedding best practice, scalable recruitment processes that meet the unique challenges of the sector and the need for cultural alignment. With a strong focus on candidate and hiring manage experience, the Head of Resourcing positions the group as an employer of choice, building sustainable pipelines of talent that strengthen service delivery and long-term organisational capability.
- Define and execute the group resourcing strategy in line with workforce planning, organisational growth and sector needs.
- Anticipate future workforce trends, build talent pipelines for critical educator and leadership roles and strengthen organisational capability through effective hiring.
- Partner with senior leaders and executives to align resourcing with business priorities.
- Lead, coach and inspire the team to deliver against recruitment targets.
- Build team capability through development, mentoring and performance management.
- Create a high-performing team culture that balances accountability, collaboration and innovation.
- Lead the development and delivery of the Employee Value Proposition (EVP) and employer branding strategy.
- Position the organisation as an employer of choice in the industry through innovative campaigns, digital channels and community engagement.
- Build external partnerships with training providers, universities and sector networks to strengthen talent pools.
- Oversee high-volume recruitment across all departments, ensuring timeless, consistency and compliance.
- Embed scalable, efficient recruitment processes supported by best-in-class technology (ATS, sourcing platforms).
- Monitor and report on recruitment performance metrics (time-to-hire, cost per hire, candidate satisfaction).
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in resourcing practices.
- Ensure recruitment processes comply with all regulatory requirements, including qualification, Working with Children Checks and child safety obligations.
- Embed safe recruitment practices and align to organisational governance frameworks.
- Partner with compliance, quality and People & Culture colleagues to manage workforce related risks.
- Work closely with People & Performance, Learning& Development to ensure recruitment links to career pathways and retention strategies.
- Support workforce planning stability by aligning recruitment with long-term talent management initiatives.
About You:
To be successful in this role you will bring:
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Talent Acquisition/Resourcing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven experience managing high-volume, multi-site recruitment in regulated or service industries
- Track record of delivering strategic workforce plans and large-scale recruitment campaigns.
- Demonstrated success in employer branding and EVP initiatives.
- Experience leading and developing large TA teams (10+).
- Strong knowledge of recruitment technology, workforce analytics and process improvement.
- Tertiary qualified in HR or Business or related discipline (desirable
