The Opportunity
We are seeking a Head of Wellbeing and Workplace Relations to shape and deliver a forward-thinking function that combines proactive employee wellbeing with robust workplace relations practices. Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, you will lead a small high-performing team overseeing workplace relations, wellbeing + mental health, and injury management.
This pivotal role builds on strong foundations, offering you the opportunity to evolve strategies and programs, embed best practice, and enhance employee experience while fostering a safe, 'speak-up' culture.
Key Focus Areas;
- Lead the development and delivery of a contemporary Wellbeing + Workplace Relations strategies.
- Manage complex workplace investigations and represent the organisation as necessary.
- Coach and advise senior leaders, influencing decision-making with data as appropriate.
- Oversee employee wellbeing and mental health programs, ensuring psychosocial safety practices are embedded whilst fostering and promoting a strong ‘speak up’ culture.
- Ensure best-practice injury management and rehabilitation processes.
- Refresh and modernise workplace policies.Report regularly to the Executive and Board.
This role will suit a commercial Workplace Relations leader who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments. Additionally you will bring;
- Extensive Workplace Relations expertise, including handling complex employee relations matters.
- Sound working knowledge of Australian employment, safety, compensation and rehabilitation laws.
- The presence and credibility to influence senior stakeholders, to CEO and Board level.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in policy design and implementation.
- A genuine interest and/or proven experience in wellbeing, mental health and psychosocial safety.
- The ability to lead and develop a small, specialist team.
