  • About the Organisation:

Our client is a global market-leading organisation operating within a highly operational, asset-intensive industry. With a strong footprint across Australia and New Zealand, the business plays a critical role in supporting essential supply chains and large-scale infrastructure operations.

The organisation is recognised for its commitment to safety, sustainability, innovation and operational excellence. Operating within a unionised, blue-collar environment alongside corporate functions, the business values pragmatic HR support, strong governance, and trusted partnerships with leaders at all levels.

    About the Role:

This is a hands-on HR BP opportunity supporting a defined client group across NSW and QLD, with a strong emphasis on employee and industrial relations. Reporting to the Country HR Manager, you will operate as a trusted advisor to leaders, providing end-to-end HR support across the full employee lifecycle.

The role is well-suited to someone who enjoys ownership, autonomy, and working closely with operational leaders in a complex, fast-moving environment. You will partner with managers to navigate ER matters, support change initiatives, and ensure compliance with awards, enterprise agreements, and employment legislation.

    Key responsibilities include:
    • Providing operational HR advice across the full employee lifecycle, with a strong focus on ER and IR case management.
    • Managing complex performance, conduct, disciplinary and grievance matters.
    • Supporting onboarding, offboarding, contract variations, and employee documentation.
    • Advising leaders on awards, enterprise agreements and policy interpretation within a unionised workforce.
    • Partnering with payroll and HR services teams to ensure accurate and timely employment changes.
    • Supporting organisational change initiatives and people-related projects.
    • Contributing to enterprise bargaining activities.
    • Assisting with recruitment processes and the implementation of global and local HR initiatives.
    About You:

You are an experienced Senior HR Advisor or HR Business Partner, or strong HR Generalist, who thrives in operational, blue-collar, unionised environments and is confident managing complex ER/IR matters independently. You bring maturity, sound judgement, and the ability to hold your own with senior stakeholders.

    You will bring:
    • Demonstrated experience owning and supporting a client group across the full employee lifecycle autonomously.
    • Strong ER/IR capability, including performance management, grievances, disciplinary matters and investigations.
    • Experience working with awards and enterprise agreements in a unionised environment.
    • Confidence partnering with senior leaders and operational managers in challenging, fast-paced settings.
    • A practical, solutions-focused approach with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
    • Experience contributing to HR projects, process improvement or change initiatives.
    • The ability to work autonomously while remaining collaborative and team-oriented.
    • A professional, approachable style with strong attention to detail.
