P&C Business Partner

P&C Business Partner

Are you looking for a supported HR BP in a multi-site, industrial, heavy-industry, unionised workplace, in a critical services organisation?

  • Up to circa $165K + super p.a.
  • Intial 12-18 month contract with view to extension / perm
  • Sydney multi-site location

  • Are you looking to step into a unique HR BP role where your work truly keeps critical services running?

Reporting to an experienced P&C Manager, in an established HR team, this is your chance to play a pivotal part in a complex, safety-critical, technical-heavy industry environment, partnering with seasoned operational leaders and highly skilled and specialised blue-collar employees.

Enjoy the variety and autonomy of partnering across multiple sites, working closely with leaders who see HR as integral to their success. Be part of a supportive culture that respects your expertise and values pragmatic, solutions-focused advice.

If you thrive on autonomously building trusted relationships, navigating nuanced workplace landscapes, and making a real impact on people and culture, this opportunity could be exactly what you’ve been seeking.

    This role will see you:

    • Partner with operational managers and frontline teams who are passionate about what they do — from harbour masters to emergency response crews.
    • Provide hands-on, end-to-end HR support that’s genuinely valued, in a space where no two days are the same.
    • Navigate a dynamic industrial environment with a strong union presence, continuing positive, collaborative relationships.
    • Contribute to meaningful organisational changes and workforce initiatives that help keep vital services running smoothly.
To be considered for this role, you will have experience as a HR Business Partner, Manager, or HR Generalist, from a multi-site, industrial and unionised workforce. You're comfortable with rolling up your sleeves in an operational setting. You bring solid national IR/ER experience, a collaborative approach to navigating what's considered to be a positive unionised environment, and the ability to earn trust quickly at all levels.

Most importantly, you enjoy building relationships and helping people do their best work in complex, fast-moving contexts.

This is a 12-18 month contract, due to internal promotion in the team; however, it could be a shorter contract to hold the position whilst recruiting the position longer-term or ongoing, or could be offered permanent upfront for the right candidate.

This is a hybrid 2 days working from home.
