This role will see you:
- Partner with operational managers and frontline teams who are passionate about what they do — from harbour masters to emergency response crews.
- Provide hands-on, end-to-end HR support that’s genuinely valued, in a space where no two days are the same.
- Navigate a dynamic industrial environment with a strong union presence, continuing positive, collaborative relationships.
- Contribute to meaningful organisational changes and workforce initiatives that help keep vital services running smoothly.
Most importantly, you enjoy building relationships and helping people do their best work in complex, fast-moving contexts.
This is a 12-18 month contract, due to internal promotion in the team; however, it could be a shorter contract to hold the position whilst recruiting the position longer-term or ongoing, or could be offered permanent upfront for the right candidate.
This is a hybrid 2 days working from home.
