About the Role
As the P&C Business Partner
, you’ll oversee both operational and strategic elements of recruitment while also acting as a trusted advisor on a wide range of People & Culture matters. This role has a strong focus on building effective attraction, selection, and retention strategies, alongside providing expert guidance on employee relations issues, legislative compliance, and workplace policies.
This is a true 50/50 role
– part recruitment partner, part HR business partner – offering variety and scope to make a genuine impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute a strategic recruitment plan, working with key leaders and stakeholders to secure high-performing staff
- Manage recruitment campaigns, initiatives, and pipelines, building strong connections with universities and external partners
- Oversee onboarding and induction programs to deliver a seamless new starter experience
- Provide trusted advice on Awards, industrial agreements, and workplace legislation
- Support investigations, performance management processes, and WorkCover/Return-to-Work matters
- Drive health, wellbeing, and professional learning initiatives across the organisation
- Contribute to key P&C projects and process improvements to enhance employee engagement and retention
We’re seeking a down-to-earth HR professional who can hit the ground running.
You’ll bring:
- Proven HR Business Partner or Senior Advisor experience, with strength in recruitment and generalist HR delivery
- Strong understanding of industrial relations frameworks, policies, and legislation
- Confidence in managing performance, investigations, and wellbeing initiatives
- A collaborative style with warmth and adaptability to thrive in a supportive but fast-paced environment
- Experience in education is not essential – what matters is your ability to learn and adapt quickly
You’ll be joining a growing, supportive People & Culture team consisting of the HR Director, Recruiter and P&C Administrators, with access to external legal advisors and industry networks for complex matters.
