  • About the Organisation:

Our client is a respected organisation with a highly skilled blue-collar workforce that delivers essential services to the community. They operate in a complex, safety-critical, and regulated environment — one that requires precision, collaboration, and strong leadership. With a strong emphasis on people, culture, and safety, they take pride in maintaining operational excellence and fostering a workplace built on trust, respect, and accountability.

    About the Role:

Reporting to an experienced P&C Manager, this role partners with senior operational leaders and frontline teams to deliver hands-on, end-to-end HR support. You’ll play a pivotal part in maintaining positive union relationships, supporting performance, engagement, and change initiatives, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Acting as a trusted partner to operational and technical leaders across multiple sites.
    • Managing employee and industrial relations issues, providing pragmatic and timely advice.
    • Building and maintaining collaborative relationships with unions and employee representatives.
    • Supporting workforce planning, change management, and engagement initiatives.
    • Coaching leaders to navigate people challenges confidently and compliantly.
    • Contributing to the implementation of upcoming HRIS systems and process improvements.
This role is both strategic and hands-on, ideal for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and meaningful impact in a blue-collar setting.

    About You:

You’re an experienced HR Business Partner or People & Culture Manager who thrives in operational, unionised, and safety-critical environments. You’re commercially grounded yet people-focused, balancing empathy with strong ER/IR acumen.

    You’ll bring:
    • Broad HR generalist experience across the full employee lifecycle.
    • Strong ER/IR capability with experience working directly with unions and enterprise agreements.
    • Proven ability to influence, coach, and build trust across all levels — from frontline to executive.
    • A practical, down-to-earth style with resilience and sound judgment.
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
    • Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business, or Industrial Relations.
    Why Apply?

This is a rare opportunity to contribute to a values-led organisation where your work directly supports critical operational outcomes. You’ll enjoy autonomy, diversity of work, and a genuinely collaborative team environment.

Hybrid working is available, with approximately three days on-site across Sydney locations. The team culture is supportive, professional, and grounded — a place where your expertise is both respected and relied upon.
