About the Role:
This is a hands on People and Culture Business Partner opportunity within a supportive and highly collaborative HR team. You will take ownership of escalated employee relations matters across the organisation, including complex performance management and improvement cases, grievances, and sensitive people issues.
You will partner closely with senior leaders and frontline managers, providing clear, practical, and commercially grounded advice across the full employee lifecycle and annual people calendar. The role has a strong employee relations focus, supporting leaders through performance review cycles, capability uplift, and organisational change activity.
You will coach and educate managers to build confidence, accountability, and ownership in people management, with a strong emphasis on prevention, early intervention, and sustainable outcomes. The role also involves interpreting and applying employment legislation, awards, and internal policies, and contributing to broader culture initiatives that strengthen collaboration, engagement, and consistency across people practices.
The environment is fast paced and high calibre, with regular interaction with executive level stakeholders and a strong expectation of quality delivery, judgement, and professionalism.

About You:
- You are an experienced HR Business Partner or ER specialist with strong depth in employee relations and case management.
- Experience operating in complex, corporate environments, ideally across both medium and large organisations.
- Deep working knowledge of Australian employment legislation, with the ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and awards in nuanced and sensitive situations. You are confident coaching, influencing, and constructively challenging leaders, and are known for your calm, pragmatic, and solutions focused approach.
- Comfortable working hands on, enjoy partnering closely with the business, and can operate effectively in environments undergoing change or operating at pace.
- Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business, or a related discipline are required.
- Initial 3 to 6 month fixed term contract
- Full time role with the option of 4 days per week for the right candidate
- Hybrid working model with 2-3 days in office
- Opportunity to work within a high performing, established, collaborative and supportive People and Culture team
- Exposure to senior leaders and complex employee relations matters
