This progressive and purpose-led organisation has grown steadily over the past two decades, building a strong reputation for its technical expertise, commitment to environmental outcomes, and collaborative workplace culture. With a workforce of just under 200 people and a national footprint, the business is continuing to expand through acquisition and the rollout of a refreshed operating model. As the next phase of growth takes shape, they are seeking a People & Engagement Manager to lead and operationalise a modern and aligned people strategy across the country.
About the Role
Reporting to the COO and sitting on the Senior Leadership Team, this is a newly elevated and business-critical role. The People & Engagement Manager will partner closely with senior stakeholders include Executive to drive a consistent, national approach to HR strategy and delivery.
Key priorities will include:
- Supporting the integration of a recently acquired business and future M&A activity
- Leading the transition from regional to national business lines through structure, culture and capability
- Lifting operational HR maturity and consistency, including employee relations, technology use and process optimisation
- Coaching and developing a small national P&E team
About You
You are a seasoned HR generalist who combines strategic insight with operational know-how. You’ve likely worked in a growing, values-led business and ideally in professional services, consulting, or other people-driven sectors and environments. You've previously been responsible for driving consistency, uplifting capability and influencing leaders in a practical, non-corporate environment.
You bring:
- A high level of personal credibility and maturity, with the ability to influence executives and Board
- Experience leading people strategy through organisational change, M&A, and structural realignment
- Comfort working in a hands-on, evolving environment with a “muck in” mindset
- A genuine passion for creating workplaces where people thrive
