People Experience Advisor

Operational HR role with system implementation exposure and national impact
  • $85,000 - $90,000 + Super
  • Location: Melbourne CBD - Hybrid
  • Tandem Partners are excited to be representing a national property valuation and advisory business with approximately 800 employees operating across metropolitan, regional and rural Australia.

    The Opportunity

The role reports to the Head of People Experience and sits within a small, close-knit team alongside a Senior People Experience Advisor and a People Experience Data Analyst.

This is an operationally focused People & Culture team, where success is measured by efficiency, accuracy, turnaround times and the quality of service delivered to leaders and employees.

The Role As the People Experience Advisor, you will be the first point of contact for Tier 1 people queries, providing practical, timely and well-judged advice across the employee lifecycle.

This role is highly hands-on and administration-heavy, well suited to someone who enjoys getting into the detail while helping build structure in an evolving environment.

The salary range for this position will be: $85,000 - $90,000 + Super

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Acting as the first point of contact for employee and leader queries across contracts, policies, leave and flexible working arrangements
    • Preparing and issuing employment contracts, variations and lifecycle letters within a largely manual process
    • Providing day-to-day people operations support and escalating matters where required
    • Maintaining accurate employee data across HR systems, including Employment Hero and the new payroll HRIS (iChris)
    • Supporting onboarding coordination, including system access and documentation, in collaboration with the Senior PX Advisor
    • Interpreting and applying multiple legacy policies and entitlements, navigating ambiguity with sound judgement
    • Supporting the rollout and stabilisation of new systems, including iChris and WorkLeap (learning & development, with potential future performance functionality)
    • Identifying gaps, inefficiencies or inconsistencies in processes and proactively suggesting practical improvements
    About You

This role will suit someone who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves and working in grey areas rather than relying on established frameworks.

    You will likely bring:
    • 2+ years’ experience across People & Culture or HR operations
    • A practical understanding of the Australian employment relations landscape, including NES and Modern Awards
    • Confidence providing advice on non-complex policy and employee lifecycle matters
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly across contracts and data
    • The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
    • A resilient, proactive and solution-focused mindset
    • Experience in operational or less structured environments will be highly regarded
    Qualifications
    • A qualification in HR, business or a related discipline is desirable but not essential
