We’re seeking an experienced and proactive People Services & Remuneration Lead to join the P&C team of a high-profile government project. This newly created role will lead a team of 2 People Services Advisors in delivering timely, high-quality support and advice across a wide range of people-related enquiries.
You’ll play a key role in fostering a culture of service excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement, ensuring that employees and leaders receive a seamless and positive experience at every interaction.
Working closely with the Workforce Reporting team, you’ll help align remuneration data with payroll systems and broader workforce analytics. This partnership supports the delivery of high-quality reporting, insights, and analytics that enable evidence-based decision-making across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the People Services team to provide efficient, accurate, and customer-focused HR support.
- Provide advice on executive remuneration, including market benchmarking, salary justification, and compliance with VPS frameworks and policies.
- Manage and advise on job evaluation, classification, and work value assessments, ensuring consistency and fairness in role design and grading.
- Partner with the Workforce Reporting team to ensure accuracy and alignment of remuneration and workforce data across systems.
- Collaborate with the People Business Partner team to deliver a connected and consistent people experience.
- Contribute to the development, maintenance, and improvement of HR policies, systems, and processes.
- Champion a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement across the People Services function.
About You
You are an experienced HR professional with a passion for service delivery, process improvement, and team leadership. You bring sound knowledge in remuneration, job evaluation, and HR operations—ideally within a VPS or similar public sector environment.
In addition, you will have:
- Proven experience leading HR service delivery or advisory teams.
- Experience in executive remuneration, job classification, and work value assessments.
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and advise with credibility.
- Experience working with HR systems, payroll data, and workforce analytics.
- A continuous improvement mindset and commitment to service excellence.
