  • The role

    We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Recruitment Coordinator to join our Selection Team in Melbourne.

    Working closely with the Business Operations Manager, GM Selection, and the broader Selection Consulting team, this role plays a critical part in delivering a seamless, end‑to‑end recruitment experience for both clients and candidates across emerging to mid‑senior HR appointments.

    Operating within a strong team‑based model, the Recruitment Coordinator will act as a key point of contact for candidates and clients, provide high‑level operational and administrative support, and ensure best‑practice processes are consistently applied across all recruitment activity.

    This is a hands‑on role designed to immerse you in the full recruitment lifecycle, offering exposure to recruitment and HR practices while being supported through close mentorship and guidance. As a representative of the Tandem Partners brand, you will engage with both active and passive talent, ensuring every interaction reflects our high standards and reputation in the HR market.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Assignment Support
    • Support the GM – Selection and Selection Consulting team with preparation of assignment documentation including proposals, candidate briefing documents and shortlist summaries
    • Manage candidate communications, including interview scheduling, confirmations and follow‑ups
    • Coordinate reference checks, probity checks and compliance documentation
    • Coordinate psychometric assessments as required
    • Support contractor onboarding and offboarding, including liaising with payroll providers 
    Talent Support
    • Proactively engage with the candidate community to ensure the talent pipeline remains current, accurate and actively managed
    • Maintain rigorous data integrity
    • Identify and implement structured approaches to ongoing candidate engagement, strengthening long‑term relationships and enhancing the candidate experience
    Customer Service
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates and clients as a professional first point of contact
    • Manage incoming calls and enquiries efficiently
    • Support consultants with proactive diary management and scheduling
    • Coordinate internal and external meetings and interviews
    • Provide timely, clear and professional feedback to candidates and clients
    Events
    • Support the GM – Selection with the coordination and delivery of marketing and networking events
    • Assist with venue selection, invitations, mailing lists and logistics
    • Support event delivery within budget, including catering, facilities and guest speakers
    Team Contribution
    • Proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes, optimise systems and improve operational efficiency
    • Contribute to internal initiatives and cross‑functional projects

    You will bring
    • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, 
    • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
    • Confident verbal communication skills with candidates, clients and internal stakeholders
    • Excellent written communication and attention to detail
    • Demonstrated interest in HR and recruitment best practice
    • Sound commercial acumen and understanding of business operations
    • Degree in HR or a related discipline is strongly regarded
    • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and building capability within the HR profession
