Are you an experienced Employee Relations professional looking to step into a high-impact role within a complex, fast-paced environment? This is an exciting opportunity to join a infrastructure projects organisation within the public sector and play a pivotal part in shaping the employee experience while supporting leaders on a diverse range of matters.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Employee Relations Advisor, you will:
- Manage end-to-end ER casework, including investigations into misconduct, grievances, probationary reviews, and performance matters.
- Act as the first point of escalation for HR Business Partners, providing sound advice and guidance on ER matters.
- Coach leaders and HR colleagues to ensure consistent application of the Enterprise Agreement, policies, and workplace legislation.
- Liaise with Health, Safety & Wellbeing teams on matters involving injury management or employee support.
- Work closely with the Employee Relations Manager, helping manage a high case volume (approx. 19 open cases).
- 5–10 years’ experience in HR/ER with strong hands-on experience managing investigations.
- Experience within government, large-scale projects, or pubic sector is essential.
- Proven ability to interpret and apply industrial instruments, workplace legislation, and organisational policies.
- A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach with the confidence to coach leaders and business partners.
- The ability to balance empathy with objectivity when dealing with sensitive issues.
Salary Range:
$115000 - $125000
