Senior ER Specialist

Senior ER Specialist

Leverage your strong ER skills and experience under strong and contemporary leadership with a supportive team environment.
  • CBD location with hybrid working arrangement (2 days in office)
  • Circa $150k + super
  • Work with an engaging, contemporary and supportive leader!
  • We’re partnering with a leading organisation in the education industry looking for a seasoned Workplace Relations professional who wants to be right in the middle of one of the most important pieces of work they have coming up — the next Enterprise Agreement (EA).

This is a great opportunity to step into a senior role where you’ll help shape strategy, guide leaders through complex issues, and be a trusted voice during bargaining. If you enjoy high-level industrial work, influencing senior stakeholders, and solving tricky people challenges, this could be the role for you.

    About the Role
As a Senior ER Specialist, you’ll be a go-to adviser for leaders and as part of a dedicated project team, be a key contributor to their upcoming EA negotiations.

You’ll help prepare for bargaining, support negotiation strategy, assess risk, and provide clear, practical advice on what different options mean for the organisation. You’ll work closely with executives, People Partners, unions, and legal advisers to make sure we’re well prepared and well represented throughout the process.
    You’ll also:
    • Provide expert advice on enterprise agreement terms, workplace legislation (including the Fair Work Act 2009), and industrial obligations.
    • Support negotiations and help draft clauses, responses, and briefing papers.
    • Represent the organisation in external forums like the Fair Work Commission when needed.
    • Help plan for implementation once the new EA is finalised.

Alongside bargaining work, you’ll lead complex employee relations matters across your client group — from performance and conduct issues to organisational change, health-related matters, and inherent requirements.

You’ll focus on early intervention and practical solutions, using restorative approaches, investigations, and fair disciplinary processes where required. A big part of the job is looking at the bigger picture — spotting trends, identifying risk, and helping leaders build confidence in managing their teams.

You’ll also mentor junior team members and contribute to broader workplace relations projects where your expertise is needed.

    What You’ll Bring
    • Solid experience managing complex ER matters and industrial disputes end-to-end.
    • Hands-on experience supporting or leading Enterprise Agreement negotiations.
    • Confidence interpreting and applying enterprise agreements in complex environments.
    • Experience representing organisations in settings like the Fair Work Commission.
    • A clear understanding of procedural fairness and natural justice.
    • Good analytical skills and the ability to use data to inform decision-making.
    • The confidence to work closely with senior leaders during high-stakes discussions.

You’ll join a team that values collaboration, expertise, and practical problem-solving. If you enjoy navigating complexity, partnering closely with leaders, and shaping how an organisation handles workplace relations, this role is a great fit.

If you enjoy variety, challenge, and being trusted with important work, we’d love to hear from you.
