Leverage your strong ER skills and experience under strong and contemporary leadership with a supportive team environment.
  • CBD location with hybrid working arrangement (2 days in office)
  • Circa $150k + super
  • Permanent opportunity
  • Are you a seasoned Workplace Relations expert who loves solving complex problems and helping leaders navigate tricky situations? This role offers the chance to make a real impact, work closely with senior stakeholders, and lead high-level employee relations work across a diverse organisation.

    About the Role
As a Senior ER Specialist, you’ll be the go-to person for proactive employee relations support. You’ll manage a wide range of ER issues—from conduct and performance, through to organisational change and inherent requirement matters.
A big part of your role is getting to the root of problems, looking at the bigger picture, and developing practical resolution strategies in partnership with managers, executives, and People Partners. You’ll typically support a dedicated client group.
You’ll handle early intervention approaches, including restorative practices, workplace investigations, and disciplinary processes. And when needed, you’ll represent the organisation in external settings such as the Fair Work Commission or human rights bodies, as well as work with lawyers and brief counsel on more complex matters.
You’ll also provide advice on legislation, enterprise agreements, policies, contracts, and change initiatives—often supporting colleagues and leaders across the business. Coaching, training, and mentoring will be part of your day-to-day, especially when supporting junior team members.
You may also be involved in broader projects where your specialist advice is needed.

    What You’ll Bring
    • Strong working knowledge of the Fair Work Act 2009 and contract law, plus the ability to quickly become an expert in enterprise agreements and organisational policies.
    • Hands-on experience managing complex ER cases and industrial disputes through to resolution.
    • Experience advising on performance issues, misconduct, change, terminations, industrial disputes, and health-related matters in large, complex environments.
    • Experience representing organisations in external jurisdictions such as the Fair Work Commission.
    • Ability to draft clear, professional advice, emails, letters, submissions, and other documents to a senior standard.
    • Solid analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and present it in a useful way.
    • A solid understanding of procedural fairness and natural justice.

You’ll join a team that values collaboration, expertise, and practical problem-solving. If you enjoy navigating complexity, partnering closely with leaders, and shaping how an organisation handles workplace relations, this role is a great fit.

If you’re an experienced workplace relations specialist who likes variety, challenge, and meaningful work, we’d love to hear from you - we look forward to receiving your application.
