About the Role:
This is a pivotal site based leadership role overseeing the largest Brisbane operation, employing a substantial workforce across shift based production.
Reporting to the Operations Director with a dotted line to the Chief People Officer, you will lead a 15 person HR team and partner closely with senior operational leaders. You will be accountable for driving workforce performance, strengthening industrial frameworks and building frontline leadership capability.

- Leading and developing an established HR team to elevate capability, consistency and service delivery
- Driving labour planning, shift optimisation, workforce productivity and retention outcomes
- Leading all industrial relations strategy including EBA negotiations, union engagement, award interpretation and compliance governance
- Partnering with operations to embed strong performance management and leadership capability across frontline leaders
- Overseeing onboarding, training frameworks and workforce planning across a diverse, multicultural workforce
- Acting as a trusted and commercially credible advisor within a high volume, unionised environment
- This role requires strong visibility on site and a hands on leadership approach.
You are a seasoned HR leader with deep industrial experience and a track record in large scale manufacturing, FMCG, logistics or heavy industrial environments. You will bring:
- Proven experience leading large HR functions in complex, unionised operations
- Strong industrial relations capability including EBA negotiations and union engagement
- Demonstrated success leading and developing large HR teams
- Commercial acumen with the ability to influence senior operational stakeholders
- A calm, pragmatic leadership style that drives accountability without unnecessary escalation
- Experience working with highly diverse workforces across shift based operations
- You are resilient, outcomes focused and comfortable operating in high pressure environments where decisions matter.
