About the Role
The WHS Manager plays a critical leadership role in shaping and driving a proactive, positive safety culture across the organisation.
Reporting to the Chief People Officer and based in Sydney, this role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining best‑practice WHS frameworks, systems, and governance that support safe operations across the business.
You will lead the organisation’s approach to workplace health, safety, and wellbeing, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation while driving continuous improvement. Acting as a trusted advisor to ELT and the Board, you will provide expert guidance on WHS risk, regulatory change, and safety performance.
This is a highly visible leadership role that involves working closely with operational leaders, employees, contractors, and external stakeholders. You will champion safety at all levels of the organisation, lead audits and incident investigations, oversee training and capability development, and embed clear accountability for safety into everyday operations.

You will also bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in WHS or a related discipline (desirable)
- Extensive experience in senior WHS leadership roles
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, compliance frameworks, and contemporary safety systems
- Demonstrated experience developing policies, procedures, and management systems that drive behavioural change
- Proven capability leading audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective actions
- Excellent communication skills, with confidence advising Executives, Boards, and regulators
- A collaborative leadership style with the ability to coach, mentor, and influence others
