    The opportunity: 

    This is a critical and high-priority role, focused on shaping and executing the Industrial Relations strategy within a rapidly evolving sector. Over the next 18 months, the primary focus will be on driving the industrial relations strategy, leading directly into bargaining and the subsequent implementation of new enterprise agreements. The role demands significant experience in all phases of enterprise bargaining: strategic planning, negotiation, and meticulous implementation, which is crucial given the current compliance landscape.​  Additionally, the role involves coaching and developing others within the team, across ER, IR and broader HR.

    What you will bring:

    Potential candidates for this role must be subject matter experts across all elements of Workplace Relations with a strong knowledge of contemporoary practices and current legislative requirements.    Specifically you will demonstrate:

    • Significant experience guiding and advising large, complex organisations on industrial issues.  Experience in human services or aligned diverse industry exposure is sought.
    • Extensive enterprise bargaining experience, covering everything from initial planning and strategy to negotiation and successful implementation.                                                                                   
    • Experience in representing organisations in tribunals is also important.
    • Ideally legally qualified.
    Beyond these technical skills, strong personal qualities are vital. You must be excellent at managing relationships with various stakeholders, highly influential, and capable of analytical thinking. The ability to thrive in ambiguous situations and adapt to competing priorities in a constantly changing environment is key.
