Head of Business Partnering
Lead and develop HR Partnering team, developing and embedding forward-looking workforce and people plans aligned to business strategy.
About Vicinity Centres:
Vicinity Centres is one of Australia’s leading property groups, owning and managing nearly 50 of the country’s most recognised retail destinations, including Chadstone, Chatswood Chase, the Queen Victoria Building and the DFO Brand nationally. The business is evolving beyond traditional retail into mixed-use destinations that integrate retail, residential and offices. This shift is supported by a strong development pipeline, a focus on long-term value, and a commitment to customer experience.
The People team plays a central role in enabling this strategy, ensuring leaders, teams and ways of working are aligned to deliver today and into the future.
About the role:
Reporting to the Chief People Officer and as a key member of the People Leadership Team, this role leads the Business Partnering function and continues to evolve how it delivers value across the organisation. You will partner closely with executive team and senior leaders, shaping thinking on workforce strategy, organisational design and performance, and playing a key role in enterprise-wide priorities. This is a hands-on leadership role, balancing strategic influence with delivery, and lifting both capability and impact across the Business Partnering team.
What this looks like in practice:
- Developing and embedding forward-looking workforce and people plans aligned to business strategy.
- Partnering with leaders to prioritise, simplify and focus on the highest value work.
- Bringing insight from data, behaviour and performance to inform decisions and trade-offs.
- Holding constructive tension to challenge thinking and lift performance.
- Leading enterprise initiatives across organisational effectiveness, design, change and capability.
- Leading and developing a high-performing Business Partnering team.
This role suits a senior People leader who is comfortable operating in complexity and ambiguity, and who brings clear thinking, strong judgement and the confidence to influence at the most senior levels. You are commercially minded, curious and pragmatic, with a strong track record of shaping outcomes through others.
You will bring:
- Experience in a senior HR leadership role within an ASX-listed or similarly complex environment.
- Proven ability to partner executive team and senior leaders across both corporate and operational portfolios.
- Experience building and leading high-performing Business Partnering teams.
- Strong capability in organisational design, workforce planning and leading change.
- The ability to synthesise multiple data points and form a clear, commercially grounded point of view
- A calm, credible and direct style, with the ability to influence at executive and board level.
This is a significant opportunity to shape the next chapter of business partnering at Vicinity, with direct impact on strategy execution, leadership capability and organisational performance.
