Are you an experienced talent and capability professional looking to step into a role with genuine scope to shape workforce capability and succession for a large, multi‑site organisation? This newly created role offers a blend of strategic influence and hands‑on delivery, supporting a business undergoing significant transformation.
The Role
This is a practical, end‑to‑end talent and capability role, partnering closely with senior leaders, HR Business Partners, and Talent Acquisition. You’ll be responsible for strengthening both external and internal talent pipelines, embedding talent reviews and succession planning, and building future‑focused capability frameworks aligned to business strategy.
This is not a purely conceptual role—you’ll be expected to design, implement, and embed talent processes that are fit for purpose and deliver measurable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
- Leading the annual talent review and succession planning cycle for critical roles
- Building internal talent pipelines, mobility pathways, and development plans
- Developing and maintaining organisational capability frameworks
- Providing workforce insights to support build / buy / borrow decisions
- Partnering with Talent Acquisition on employer branding and external talent pipelining
- Establishing early and emerging talent partnerships (universities, TAFEs, industry bodies)
- Producing talent insights and dashboards for senior leaders
- Strong experience across talent management, capability, or talent acquisition
- Hands‑on experience leading talent reviews and succession planning
- Ability to influence senior leaders and facilitate robust talent discussions
- Data‑driven mindset with experience translating insights into action
- Experience working in complex, multi‑site or operational environments
- Permanent, Melbourne‑based role with hybrid flexibility
