  • This privately owned Australian business is a long-established market leader in its field, with a significant multi-site footprint across regional and metropolitan locations. With a large national workforce and enviable company culture, the organisation is well positioned for continued success.

    Reporting to the General Manager Southern Region, the People & Culture Manager leads a small team supporting people and culture activities and works collaboratively with and coaches the Operations leadership team to deliver on workforce planning, talent acquisition, onboarding, development, employee relations and everything in between. Furthermore this role will require you to;
    • Lead and deliver a practical people strategy aligned to regional business priorities.
    • Act as a trusted advisor to regional and operations leaders.
    • Build leadership capability and strengthen culture across multiple sites.
    • Embed consistent, fair and values-led people practices.
    • Support talent, succession, learning and employee experience initiatives.
    • Guide leaders through workforce challenges with calm, commercially grounded advice.
    • Improve people systems and processes.
    • Balance strategic leadership with visible day-to-day support.
    • Adapt your style to present to executives and the board at times.
    You are a pragmatic, down to earth People & Culture Manager who:
    • Has worked in operational, blue-collar or multi-site environments (e.g. wholesale, trade, retail, logistics or manufacturing).
    • Is highly visible and comfortable working with dispersed teams.
    • Communicates clearly, practically and with warmth.
    • Builds strong, trusted relationships at all levels.
    • Aligns naturally with family-owned values and a people minded culture.
    • Thinks critically, handles complexity and delivers practical solutions.
    • Is resilient, proactive and steady in times of change.
    • Enjoys being close to the business and genuinely cares about enhancing leadership capability team effectiveness and achieving  business objectives.
