We’re partnering with a well‑established, values‑led organisation in the education sector to recruit a Senior People & Culture Specialist
into a high‑performing People & Culture team.
This is a hands‑on, senior advisory role, ideal for an experienced HR generalist who enjoys partnering closely with leaders on complex people matters and delivering practical, solutions‑focused HR support.
The opportunity Reporting into a broader People & Culture function, you’ll work alongside leaders, managers, and the wider HR team to deliver consistent, compliant HR advice across employee relations, workforce operations, and people governance.
You’ll play a key role in supporting leaders to manage their teams confidently, while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and people‑related projects.

What you’ll be doing
- Providing senior‑level HR advice across employee relations, performance management, and organisational matters
- Managing ER casework including grievances, investigations, and disciplinary matters
- Advising on employment legislation, enterprise agreements, and industrial instruments
- Supporting HR operations across the employee lifecycle, from onboarding through to offboarding
- Contributing to policy development, governance, and workforce initiatives
- Partnering closely with HR and recruitment colleagues to ensure consistent people practices
You’ll bring:
- Significant experience in a senior HR advisory or HR Business Partner role
- Strong ER/IR capability, including case management and conflict resolution
- Sound knowledge of employment law and workplace compliance
- Excellent communication, influence, and relationship‑building skills
- High levels of integrity, discretion, and professionalism
Requirements
- Qualifications in Human Resources (or equivalent)
- Current Working With Children Check
- Willingness to maintain relevant child safety, health, and compliance certifications
