Its People & Culture team works closely with business leaders to support organisational performance, strengthen leadership capability and enhance employee experience.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations leader to drive the delivery of a strategy spanning workplace relations, employee wellbeing and workplace health. Working closely with senior People & Culture leaders, you will lead a specialist team and translate strategic priorities into practical programs, consistent workplace practices and measurable outcomes. Building on strong foundations and a significant body of work already completed, your focus will be on embedding initiatives, supporting leaders and ensuring the strategy delivers its intended impact. The role combines delivery of the broader agenda with oversight of complex employee relations matters, requiring someone who can move confidently between implementation, leadership advice and technical casework.
Key Focus Areas
- Lead the implementation of the employee relations and wellbeing strategy, turning priorities into clear actions and outcomes.
- Oversee complex employee matters, workplace investigations and engagement with regulators and other external bodies.
- Embed workplace policies, frameworks and practices that support a fair, safe and respectful workplace.
- Coach leaders to apply these practices consistently and confidently.
- Deliver wellbeing, mental health and psychosocial safety initiatives.
- Monitor delivery, measure effectiveness and formally report on progress.
About You
You are an experienced Employee Relations professional who brings sound judgement, commercial perspective and a strong delivery focus. You are comfortable managing complex matters while keeping broader priorities moving, and know how to translate strategy into practical workplace outcomes.
Your experience will include:
- Deep expertise in employee relations, complex case management and workplace investigations.
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment, industrial relations and relevant workplace legislation.
- A track record of implementing strategies, embedding frameworks and delivering programs to support the management of risk.
- The ability to influence, educate and advise senior, executive leaders with clear, practical guidance.
- Strong communication skills, credibility and executive presence.
- Experience leading and developing specialist teams.
- An interest in, and ideally experience across, employee wellbeing, mental health and psychosocial safety.
