  • About the Organisation:

This established Australian organisation is recognised for delivering complex, high-profile projects and fostering a people-focused culture built on collaboration, accountability and long-term relationships. With a multi-faceted, multi-site workforce and service offerings in their industry, this top-tier, well-established, growing organisation combines the scale and capability of a major employer with the accessibility and support of a close-knit, values-driven national business.

The people function is well resourced and highly regarded internally, providing specialist expertise across business partnering, talent acquisition, workforce planning, capability, culture and leadership. Employees enjoy working within a pragmatic, supportive environment where contribution is recognised, and relationships matter.

    About the Role:

This 12-month fixed-term contract has been created to provide maternity leave cover within a key operational division supporting approximately 300 employees across multiple project locations, supported by a divisional HR Advisor as well as broader HR team and HR CoE teams.

Reporting to an experienced People and Culture Manager, you will partner closely with operational leaders and managers to deliver proactive, commercially focused people support across the employee lifecycle. The role offers significant variety and exposure across talent management, succession planning, employee engagement, organisational development, workforce planning, remuneration programs and employee relations.

A visible presence with stakeholders is essential. You will regularly attend project locations, facilitate people initiatives, support leadership capability and act as a trusted advisor on a broad range of workforce matters. You will also contribute to engagement programs, talent initiatives, culture activities and annual people processes while helping maintain positive employee experiences across your client group.

You bring strong generalist HR capability across employee lifecycle activities, including employee relations, talent management, performance support, engagement initiatives and workforce planning. You are confident navigating workplace matters, providing practical advice and influencing stakeholders in a credible and relationship-driven manner.

You thrive in fast-paced environments where priorities can shift quickly and where success depends on adaptability, initiative and strong judgement. You enjoy being visible in the business, engaging with operational stakeholders and contributing beyond transactional HR support.

To be successful, you will ideally possess:
    • Experience as an HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor from within a commercial, corporate, complex environment
    • Demonstrated capability across employee relations, talent, engagement and organisational development activities
    • Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills
    • Commercial thinking and the ability to balance people outcomes with business requirements
    • Experience working with multiple HR systems and technology platforms
    • A collaborative and positive approach with a genuine interest in building relationships
    Additional Requirements/Benefits:

This opportunity offers excellent exposure to senior operational stakeholders, meaningful people initiatives and a high-performing People and Culture team.

    Benefits include:
    • Hybrid working environment with flexibility available (1-2 days WFH)
    • Supportive and collaborative team culture
    • Exposure to large-scale projects and diverse client groups
    • Opportunity to broaden your business partnering capability
    • Convenient location close to public transport access
    Why Apply?

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a respected organisation where people and culture are genuinely valued. You will inherit an established portfolio, partner with experienced leaders and contribute to meaningful workforce initiatives during an exciting period of activity.
