Be the interim HR Manager for a highly regarded member based services organisation in a hands on stand alone HR generalist role
  • Immediate start contract opportunity | initial 2 months
  • 3 to 4 days per week onsite
  • Broad remit across hospitality and blue-collar workforce
  • About the Organisation:

Our client is a highly respected and long-established member-focused organisation with a reputation for delivering exceptional service, premium experiences and strong community engagement. Operating across a broad range of business functions, the organisation supports a workforce spanning customer service, hospitality, events, operations, maintenance, administration and corporate teams.

With a people-first culture and a commitment to operational excellence, the organisation places significant value on employee experience, leadership capability and continuous improvement. This is a collaborative environment where strong relationships, professionalism and service excellence underpin organisational success.

    About the Role:

Reporting directly to the CEO, this standalone broad-generalist HR Manager position will take ownership of the entire end-to-end people and culture function during an important transition period. Working closely with senior leaders across the organisation, you will provide both strategic advice and practical support across the full employee lifecycle while ensuring day-to-day HR operations continue seamlessly.

Supporting a workforce of approximately 150 employees including a significant casual workforce, you will be the trusted adviser on employee relations, investigations, performance management, workplace compliance, recruitment, workforce planning and organisational capability initiatives. You will partner with leaders to navigate complex workforce matters while maintaining a positive and high-performing culture.

    About You:

You are an experienced HR generalist who thrives in standalone environments and enjoys balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. You are comfortable stepping into a busy environment, quickly establishing credibility with stakeholders and providing practical solutions to a broad range of workforce challenges.

You will bring strong experience across employee relations, workplace investigations, performance management, recruitment and leadership coaching, along with a sound understanding of Australian employment legislation, Modern Awards and workforce compliance obligations.

Experience supporting operational workforces within hospitality, leisure, tourism, clubs, retail, customer service or other service-focused environments will be highly regarded. Equally important will be your ability to build trusted relationships, influence leaders, manage competing priorities and operate autonomously in a fast-paced workplace.
