  • A well-established, values-led community organisation is seeking a Human Resources Support Officer to join its collaborative People & Culture team. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR Coordinator or Administrator looking to broaden their experience across the full employee lifecycle within a purpose-driven environment.

    Offering an immediate start, this role is an initial 3-month contract with the potential to transition into a permanent position. Based in Preston, the organisation also offers a hybrid working model.

    The Opportunity

    Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, you will provide essential administrative and operational support across a broad range of HR activities. You'll work closely with the wider HR team to ensure people processes run efficiently and employees receive a positive and professional experience throughout their employment journey. 

    Key Responsibilities
    • Coordinate recruitment activities including job advertising, interview scheduling and reporting. 
    • Manage onboarding and induction processes for new starters.
    • Support employee engagement and performance review activities.
    • Coordinate learning and development programs, including mandatory training compliance.
    • Provide support across employee relations matters including performance, conduct and grievance processes.
    • Maintain employee records and HR systems to ensure data accuracy. 
    • Monitor and manage shared HR inboxes. 
    • Assist with workplace health, safety and wellbeing initiatives.
    • Support employment separation processes and exit interviews. 
    • Contribute to HR projects and process improvement initiatives. 
    About You

    To be successful, you will bring:
    • Previous experience in an HR administration, HR coordination or broader administration role. 
    • Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. 
    • The ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively within a team.
    • A genuine interest in supporting positive employee experiences.
    • A qualification in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline will be viewed favourably.
