P&C Business Development Consultant

P&C Business Development Consultant

You'll be joining a business that values creativity, ownership, energy and a sense of humour — and is looking for someone who will add to that.
  • Hybrid working arrangements - $115k plus super
  • A genuinely unique business with a strong point of view on culture and change
  • Uncapped earning potential, with exposure to large-scale projects
  • Tandem Partners are pleased to partner with a boutique consultancy firm who partners with some of Australia’s largest organisations on culture, people strategy and organisational change.

They’re known for doing things differently — combining research-backed thinking with immersive, creative delivery. The team is made up of people from diverse backgrounds (not your typical consulting profiles), and they care deeply about the quality and impact of their work — while keeping things human, energising and, at times, a bit fun.

    The opportunity

This is a newly created, high-impact role focused on building and converting a strong pipeline of work.

Working closely with the Founder & CEO, you’ll play a key role in identifying opportunities, nurturing relationships and helping bring complex consulting engagements to life. It’s a role with real autonomy, strong earning potential, and the opportunity to shape how growth is built moving forward.

    What you’ll be doing
    • Building and nurturing a strong, sustainable pipeline
    • Leveraging your network to create and convert opportunities
    • Partnering closely with the CEO to progress and close opportunities
    • Supporting existing client conversations and helping bring them to fruition
    • Being active in the market — meetings, coffees, events and relationship building
    • Contributing to how the sales approach, systems and process evolve
    What they’re looking for

You’ll likely come from a People & Culture, or HR consulting background, with a strong understanding of how organisations invest in culture and change.
    • Experience in HR, consulting or related environments
    • An established network within the HR / People & Culture community
    • Commercially minded, with a natural drive to generate and convert opportunities
    • Relationship-led in your approach — credible, thoughtful and trusted
    • Comfortable creating opportunities, rather than waiting for them
    • Able to work with autonomy in a role that is still evolving
    • Curious, creative and aligned with a purpose-driven environment
This is not a traditional “hard sell” role. It will suit someone who takes a more considered, relationship-first approach, and understands how to position complex, intangible services.
