Hands-on HR Business Partner role supporting leaders across a fast-paced, multi-site business, with a strong focus on ER, and people delivery

  • We’re partnering with a well‑established, privately owned organisation in the property and construction sector to recruit a People Services Business Partner into their growing People & Culture team.

    This is a hands‑on, operational HR role, ideal for an experienced generalist who enjoys partnering closely with leaders across both office and site‑based environments, and delivering practical, solutions‑focused support.

    Reporting into a senior People leader, you’ll work across multiple business units, supporting leaders, managers and employees with consistent, compliant HR advice across employee relations, recruitment, onboarding and broader people initiatives. The role also offers strong exposure to people programs and the opportunity to contribute to ongoing improvement projects.

    You’ll play a key role in enabling leaders to manage their teams effectively, while helping drive consistency in people practices across a diverse and fast‑paced business. 

    What you’ll be doing
    • Providing hands‑on HR advice across employee relations, performance management and day‑to‑day workforce matters
    • Managing ER casework including performance concerns, conduct issues, grievances and workplace investigations
    • Leading end‑to‑end recruitment processes, including partnering with hiring managers and managing candidate experience
    • Supporting onboarding, employee lifecycle processes and workforce transitions
    • Coaching leaders to build capability in managing performance and difficult conversations
    • Supporting the rollout of people programs, training and business‑wide initiatives
    • Contributing to policy development, compliance and people governance activities
    • Partnering closely with leaders to ensure consistent, practical people practices across the business 
    About you

    You’re a credible and approachable HR professional who enjoys being close to the business and delivering practical outcomes. You bring strong judgement, a calm and solutions‑focused mindset, and the ability to build trust quickly across a range of stakeholders.

    You’ll bring:
    • Experience in a HR Business Partner or senior HR advisory role
    • Strong ER capability, including end‑to‑end case management
    • Solid understanding of Australian employment legislation and modern awards
    • Confidence coaching leaders through performance and conduct matters
    • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
    • A proactive, organised approach with strong attention to detail
    • Experience working in multi‑site or operational environments (highly regarded) 
    Requirements
    • Relevant qualifications in Human Resources, Business or related discipline
    • Demonstrated experience across core HR generalist functions, including ER and recruitment
    • Ability to work across both office and site‑based environments
