    Opportunity for a detail-oriented People Data Analyst to join a high-performing People team for an immediate start 3 month contract opportunity.
     
    This role will suit someone who enjoys working with data, systems and processes, and can quickly get up to speed in a fast-paced environment. You'll play a key role supporting Workday testing activities, workforce compliance monitoring and people reporting, ensuring workforce data remains accurate, reliable and fit for purpose.

    Working closely with People, Payroll, Technology and business stakeholders, you'll help identify data anomalies, conduct investigations, validate system changes and produce meaningful workforce insights. The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently once priorities are established and will bring a proactive, solutions-focused approach to their work.

    Key responsibilities
    • Coordinate and execute Workday user acceptance testing (UAT), system release testing and data validation activities.
    • Develop and maintain testing documentation, test scripts and defect logs.
    • Conduct compliance reviews relating to employee records, mandatory training, background checks and workforce governance requirements.
    • Investigate data discrepancies, identify risks and support remediation activities.
    • Extract, cleanse, validate and analyse workforce data from Workday and other systems.
    • Produce regular and ad hoc workforce reports, dashboards and analytics.
    • Analyse key workforce metrics including headcount, turnover, leave and organisational data.
    • Support workforce planning, organisational reviews and strategic people initiatives through data-driven insights.
    • Monitor data quality and contribute to continuous improvements across reporting and governance processes.
    • Partner with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate business questions into meaningful insights.
    About you
    • You are immediately available.
    • Previous experience in workforce analytics, HR reporting, people data analysis or a similar analytical role.
    • Strong attention to detail and a proven ability to work autonomously once priorities are established.
    • Experience working with HRIS platforms, ideally Workday.
    • Exposure to user testing, system validation, UAT or HR system implementations/enhancements.
    • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, data validation and complex formulae.
    • Experience producing reports, dashboards and workforce insights for stakeholders.
    • An analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and investigative capabilities.
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain data to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Experience using reporting and visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau or similar will be highly regarded.
    • Relevant qualifications in Data Analytics, Business, Human Resources, Information Systems or a related discipline.
