    We're partnering with a highly regarded organisation with a diverse workforce of frontline, operational and corporate employees. This newly created opportunity offers the chance to shape a growing Safety function, lead a team of Safety professionals and remain hands-on in influencing safety culture, capability and business performance.

    About the Role
    Reporting to the Chief Safety Officer, this is a highly visible business partnering opportunity supporting leaders across a large and diverse workforce, while leading and developing a team of Safety professionals. Working closely with managers, operational leaders and executives, you'll provide both strategic and hands-on advice across safety, risk, culture, wellbeing and compliance. You'll act as a trusted advisor, helping leaders navigate challenges, build capability and embed practical safety initiatives that support both employees and business outcomes.

    This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, influencing stakeholders and working across a broad range of environments while contributing to the ongoing evolution of safety practices and culture.
     
    Key Areas of Focus Include:
    • Partnering with leaders to support safe, engaged and high-performing teams
    • Providing practical advice and guidance across safety, risk and workplace wellbeing matters
    • Supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of safety frameworks, programs and initiatives
    • Coaching leaders to strengthen safety leadership and accountability
    • Using data and insights to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement
    • Supporting incident management, investigations and risk mitigation activities
    • Contributing to organisation-wide safety and wellbeing projects
    • Building strong relationships across a broad and diverse stakeholder group
    • Supporting change initiatives and the ongoing development of a positive safety culture 
    About You
    • Experience in a Safety Business Partner, Senior Safety Advisor or similar WHS role
    • Proven ability to influence and build trusted relationships across all levels
    • Experience working within a large, complex or operationally diverse environment
    • Demonstrated team leadership, coaching or people management experience
    • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
    • A pragmatic, proactive and solutions-focused approach
    • Experience driving safety culture, change or continuous improvement initiatives
    • Comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery
    Highly Regarded
    • Experience within Government & Public Sector
    • Team leadership or people management experience
    • Experience supporting industrial or unionised workforces
    • Change management experience
